In Romans 7, Paul describes the state of a person outside of Jesus Christ. His words show how miserable he was trying to do right, but finding himself sinning. There was no answer for him until he found Jesus. Romans chapter 8 contains some realizations of a wretch that show the hope and confidence that are to be found in Jesus

Why are we here? What should be the focus and purpose of our lives? Jesus lived his life with incredible focus and purpose. This lesson looks at why Jesus came, the focus and purpose he lived with, and challenges us to live with the same determination in our own lives.

This lesson emphasizes the need to take our commitment to Jesus serious and be willing to sacrifice for it. We must be willing to deny ourselves, take up the cross, and follow Him. Relationships must change, we have to get out of our own way, and we have to give our possessions up.

Sermon by Ben Hall for our Spring 2012 gospel meeting. God grace is not given to us we can sit back and bask in our own glory. He has given us His grace so we will do something with it. God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus... do we use it to bless God?
